At Avaran, the Dramatics Society of BPIT, we perform street plays as well stage plays, make short films and also spread awareness on different social issues and causes that are prevalent in our society. Over the years, we have performed many street plays on topics ranging from the serious issue of insecurities and methods to deal with it, to the concept of humanity in general, which has somewhat become artificial in today’s world. We also performed street plays on the topic of half knowledge and how it can be harmful to us and everyone around us. We have also made several short films, available on YouTube, on topics such as generation gap, women’s security in metropolitan cities like Delhi, depression and other mental illnesses. Along with this, we also involved in stage theatre, and have performed exquisite stage plays as well.

Through our plays and films, we aim at taking serious and sensitive topics forward and bring them in the public eye. Our focus is to make people aware of issues that are generally overlooked and make them think about it. We should keep in mind that small changes we make in our lifestyle can go a long way.
